Crime alert: Blue bin set on fire in Riverdale Park West

A regular contributor to these pages was walking his dog this morning and found evidence of a fire in/near some bins in Riverdale Park West and sent us some pictures. We have notified 311 of the incident. Here is his note and some photos:

“Looks like the fire bug may have struck again. Noticed on my dog walk this morning approx 07:20 a.m. This one must have been quite an inferno ! Burnt (melted, better stated) down to the ground. Even the black colored garbage bin next to it has sustained damage (melt)

A blue bin (one of the big city bins) located at the SW corner entrance of Riverdale park west. Sadly, pictures are attached and as always, please feel to use / publish any or all of the photos.”
