There are a number of accomplished citizens living in Cabbagetown (you know who you are!), but at the end of 2015 one of our own and a former Cabbagetowner received particular recognition for their work, from the Governor General of Canada.
Barbara Hall (resident of Cabbagetown, former Mayor of Toronto, former Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission etc…) was awarded the Order Of Canada “for her human rights leadership and for her commitment to public service”.
Congratulations!

Dr. Margaret MacMillan (former Cabbagetowner, historian and professor) was promoted within the Order of Canada to become a Companion Of The Order Of Canada “for her eminent studies of international relations history, and for her leading contributions to public discourse on history and current affairs”.
Congratulations!
