After many months of “coming soon” signs at 488 Parliament Street – the Cabbagetowner first reported about this business in September 2016 – Parliament Street Fitness gym is hosting an Open House set from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 and Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. There still are renovations ongoing but Cabbagetowners will be able to check out the space as it nears completion.
The gym will offer personal training, small group training, what it dubs “wellness services” (massage therapy and nutrition counselling) and classes for an outdoor running club, indoor cycling, high intensity interval training, and yoga.
The gym is equipped with weight- and cardio-training equipment. Membership prices range from $80 per month or $800 per year for students and seniors to $120 per month or $1,200 per year for adults. Cabbagetown BIA members are being offered a $100 per month, or $1,000 per year, rate.
Hours are set for 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

Do we really need a gym that closes at 8 pm and charges $120 bucks a month? What is happening to our neighborhood.
Yes we do, and it’s opened till 9pm. It’s a well organized, clean space run by professionals that know what they’re doing. Seen too many businesses open and close in Cabbagetown in mere months. This is a fantastic add to the neighbourhood, that promotes health and well being. Do we really need another dollar store or vaping bar? It’s also owned and run by locals who care about the community.
CathyD, completely agree
