For those of you who enjoy using the Lower Don Trail, the city is advising that, after some minor delays with utilities and permits, they expect the contractor to be on site before the end of the month.

It is anticipated that the initial site preparation and some major tasks in replacing the Belleville Rail Underpass can be achieved without any ongoing trail closures. This means the trail should remain open for the fall of 2015.

Expect some narrowing of the trail, less-stable trail surface and delays from trucks being escorted to and from work areas along the trail, however.
