Some sad news about long time residents of Cabbagetown, Rodger and Joann McLennan of Alpha Ave., and formerly of Wellesley Ave.

Rodger died in November 2014 and Joann passed away in January of this year.  They were often seen holding hands as they walked in the neighbourhood and were active ROM volunteers, supporters of the Cabbagetown Youth Centre and attended many Residents Association events, often as volunteers. One local resident wrote to let us know that when they were considering the purchase of a home on Alpha Ave., Joann and Rodger invited them in to their home for a tour.

There will be a service for both Joann and Rodger on May 14th at the rose garden in St. James’ Cemetery.
