Crime Alert: Bicycle Stolen at Sackville Street and Salisbury Avenue

After a short and welcome lull, we have another report of a stolen bicycle in the neighbourhood. The bicycle was stolen from a home on Sackville Street near Salisbury Avenue sometime after midnight in the early hours of Monday December 5.

The thieves seem to have come twice since they uncovered the bicycle at one point, and later returned with enough tools to get through 2 ring bolts on the fence and 2 locks on the bicycle. The bicycle was a black Giant Roam with rear carrier. The owners wrote that it was “odd to make so much effort, it is not really a very expensive bike and a couple of years old”. Toronto Police have been notified.
