NATURAL ICE RINK OPENS IN WINCHESTER PARK

Congratulations to the community volunteers who came together to build Cabbagetown’s first natural ice rink, which officially opened on February 1.

CABBAGETOWN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The Cabbagetown Short Film Festival will be screening a Valentine’s special, featuring twelve romantic short films. It runs from February 14-20 and tickets costs just $10. Once you start viewing you can see each film at your leisure over three days.

CITY/YWCA OPENS AFFORDABLE HOUSING – CHURCH & CARLTON

This week Mayor Tory officially opened an affordable and permanent supportive rental housing building that includes 120 apartments for women at 389 Church St. The self-contained apartments will create a safe, inclusive and supportive community for women, gender diverse people, and youth and seniors who have experienced or who are at risk of experiencing homelessness.
