Urban Thai opens its doors

Urban Thai, which describes itself as serving “Thai & Malaysian Cuisine,” is now open at 415 Parliament Street, formerly home to Peter’s Cajun Creole Pizza.

Owner Urban Janna says this is the second Urban Thai in Toronto: the original is at 638 Parliament Street in Little Italy. “I can see the volume of customers is good in the Cabbagetown neighbourhood and we can make the restaurant a success.”

The menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, Asian pasta and rice dishes along with curries and seafood, vegetable, chicken and beef dishes. They also feature family combo meals and offer catering. For Cabbagetown night-owls, good to note that Urban Thai also has extended delivery and in-restaurant hours: open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Wednesdays to Sundays.
