Cabbagetown: Tales of Winchester Street
Hosted by Heritage Toronto, this tour is free but a $10 donation is suggested. Take a stroll down Winchester Street, known as “stroller alley” for the children taken to Riverdale Farm on weekends. Learn about the street's long history connecting people and institutions — including Riverdale Zoo, Necropolis cemetery, and Riverdale Park — as the main route between the area and Toronto's downtown before 1918. Explore the oldest operating cemetery in Toronto, including the chapel of St. James-the-Less, a national historic site, and the burial plots of the notable and notorious residents who had an impact on our city, province and country. This walk is free and registration is not required – just show up. The walk takes place rain or shine, and is approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours long.

Members (and friends!) of the CRA are invited to our Annual General Meeting. We gather at 7 p.m. for nibbles and each member gets a ticket for a beverage. We're down to business at 7:30 p.m. to hear the year in review, review finances and future plans, and elect new board directors. We then return to socializing. Membership is $20/ annually per household to support all our activities. See you there!

ROM Walks: Necropolis
