Crime alert: Lennie’s storefront damaged by suspected impaired driver. Arrest on Salisbury Avenue

There was an incident in the early morning hours of April 4, where a vehicle drove in to the front of Lennie’s Health Foods located on Parliament Street, just south of Carlton Street. The driver left the scene in the vehicle. Residents reported to us that they heard loud yelling of “Get Down, Get Down” around 2:15 a.m. in the Salisbury Avenue area which they believed to be police apprehending the driver. The driver has been charged with impaired driving.

Update 1:00 p.m.:
Carol and her staff helpfully remind patrons that they do not offer drive-through service.
