CRA asks you to consider donating proceeds from Festival Garage Sales to the Children’s Book Bank

Dear Cabbagetown Neighbours,

As you know, the Cabbagetown Festival is fast approaching and a popular part of the Festival is the huge number of garage sales that happen on the Saturday and Sunday. Would you consider donating a portion of your proceeds to a local charity? Please read the message below from the Children’s Book Bank, a wonderful local charity:

Are you having a garage sale during the upcoming Cabbagetown Festival? Consider donating all or a portion of your proceeds to a neighbourhood charity: The Children’s Book Bank. This registered charity provides free children’s books to low-income communities throughout Toronto and is conveniently located between Cabbagetown and Regent Park at 350 Berkeley Street, Toronto. Find out how you can get a garage sale kit and help high needs families in your own community by getting in touch with The Children’s Book Bank (www.childrensbookbank.com) via phone, email or dropping by our storefront location during operating hours!

If you haven’t been to the book bank, I suggest you stop by and visit this amazing place!

See you around the neighbourhood,
Lindsay Whitfield
