Cabbagetown: Tales of Winchester Street

Hosted by Heritage Toronto, this tour is free but a $10 donation is suggested. Take a stroll down Winchester Street, known as “stroller alley” for the children taken to Riverdale Farm on weekends. Learn about the street's long history connecting people and institutions — including Riverdale Zoo, Necropolis cemetery, and Riverdale Park — as the main route between the area and Toronto's downtown before 1918. St. James-the-Less, a national historic site, and the burial plots of the notable and notorious residents who had an impact on our city, province and country.
