Our friends at the Riverdale Farm Stewardship Group have announced that tickets are now on sale for Riverdale Farm Aid on June 19. Many residents have told us that they value the farm highly, so this is a great opportunity to get out there and support the efforts being made to ensure its success. The Cabbagetown Residents Association has contributed $1000 towards this very worthwhile cause.
Here’s more information on the event:
Tickets for Riverdale Farm Aid are now on sale at http://riverdale-farm.ticketleap.com/riverdale-farm-aid/
This year’s event will feature two live musical performances, a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre building pit for children, local food and beverage vendors and both a silent and live auction. Two feature items in our live auction will be an opportunity to bid on Lunch With Steve Paikin or Lunch With Christie Blatchford.
Proceeds from this year’s event will contribute to sensitively transforming the heritage Simpson House into a Welcome and Interpretive Centre for the 100,000 adults and children who visit Riverdale Farm each year. We would appreciate your support.
