This is an interesting view of lower Riverdale Park West from 1912 that raises a few questions. According to the description from the Toronto Archives, this photograph is from May 11, 1912 and is “Riverdale Park : looking northwest from near Gerrard St“. Based on other pictures, I am guessing that the path descending to the right side of the picture is the path from Winchester Street and the fencing is surrounding the Zoo that predated the farm, with the spire of the Necropolis peeking above the one building.
However, what are those buildings atop the slope? If you have any information, please do leave them in the comments. Click on the image to view a larger version.
