Invitation to Public Workshop #2 – Regent’s Big Park

The park between Oak and Dundas Streets, Sackville and Sumach Streets is being redesigned. The City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry and
Recreation staff invite you to join the design team to talk about an exciting new design for the park. This second public workshop will begin
with a presentation on the preliminary design. The design is based on the terrific input that was received during the first workshop held
in January. Following the presentation, workshop participants will be invited to join a discussion group to share thoughts about children’s
play facilities, play fields, public art and community gardens.

When: April 21, 2010 6:30 pm
Where: Regent Park Community Centre, 203 Sackville Green, Toronto

Regent Park Design Presentation – Apr 7, 2010

Please join us for the Regent Park Design Presentation & Open House Meeting

City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry & Recreation staff and Councillor Pam McConnell invite you to attend an open house and presentation meeting for the new Regent Park Community Centre.

This new, combined community recreation centre/ employment centre (at Shuter and Sackville Street) will be connected to the fully renovated Nelson Mandela Park School and Blevins Child Care to create a true community hub.

The design team will present schematic design drawings (based on comments received from the public at pervious Focus Group, Design Brainstorming Workshops, and Design Options meetings) for your further comment.

Date: Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 7:00 PM (Interpretation & childcare provided)
Location: South Regent Park Community Centre (203 Sackville Green)

The city is hosting a workshop about a new park that is being included in the re-development of Regent Park. They are looking for input from the public. Please see below for more information:

City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry and Recreation staff invite you to join the design team to talk about a new design for the park located between Oak and Dundas Streets, Sackville and Sumach Streets. The public workshop will begin with a presentation on the team’s preliminary options that illustrate choices for how the park could be used for sports, children’s play, special events, and relaxation. The preliminary options will also illustrate choices for the landscape character of the park. following the presentation, workshop participants will be invited to join a discussion group to share thoughts about about the options and to indicate preferences. Note: Interpretation and child care will be provided.
