You might think that there’s an increased police presence in the neighbourhood, but it’s actually the TV show Rookie Blue being filmed! There will be some traffic/parking disruption so please be aware and accommodate as much as possible.

Notification of Filming
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014
Dear Resident,
Please accept this letter as an introduction to “Rookie Blue”, a television series in its fifth year of production for Global / ABC.
We would like to film interior and exterior scenes at 77 Winchester St. / 39 Metcalfe St. on Tue June 3 from approximately 9:00 AM to midnight. During filming we may require traffic stoppages on Metcalfe St. and Winchester St. lasting no longer than three minutes per occasion, with the assistance of the Toronto Police Service.
To facilitate this we would like to clear the following areas for production vehicles and picture:
– Parliament St. east side, from Winchester St. to Amelia St.
– Parliament St. east side, from Wellesley St. to Bloor St.
– Winchester St. south side, from Metcalfe St. to #85 Winchester St.
– Winchester St. south side, from Parliament St. to 1st alley east
– Winchester St. north side, in front of the Toronto Dance Theatre
– Metcalfe St. east and west side, three parking spots near #26 through #30 Metcalfe St.
– 77 Winchester St. parking lot
– Bloor St. south side, from Parliament St. to Sherbourne St.
We will begin to monitor and clear Metcalfe St. and Winchester St. at noon Sun June 1. Parliament St. and Bloor St. will be cleared as of 8:00 PM Mon June 2. Upon completion all production vehicles will leave the area after 7:00 AM Wed June 4 to avoid late night departure.
A member of the locations dept. will be canvassing the area over the next couple of days in regard to our filming after 11:00 PM.
