We’ve had a report of a theft this evening of two bicycles from the locked backyard of a resident who lives on Wellesley Street East, near Sackville Street. The bicycles are described as:
– Bicycle #1: New, recently purchased from Cycle Solutions, Kona Dew, a “hybrid,” 24 gears, black with blue writing.
– Bicycle #2: Norco Woman’s bike, 16 years old but in pretty good condition, lavender, damaged seat (foam interior is visible).
If you see anyone riding these bicycles around the neighbourhood, or attempting to sell them on the street for small sums (usually in the $20 – $50 range), please call the Toronto Police Non-Emergency number (416-808-2222) and they can investigate. The owners have called the police to report the theft.
You’ll recall that we reported on a rash of bicycle thefts in the neighbourhood last month, and it looks like the trend continues.
