Some unfortunate news to report from the neighbourhood. Two houses on Sackville St., north of Winchester St. had items taken in the past few days. The residents have kindly agreed to let us share the details so that other residents can be made aware.
The first theft took place on Saturday, September 5 when a bicycle was stolen from the side of a house where it was locked to an aluminum fence. The fence was broken during the attempt also.
The second theft took place next door, around Thursday September 10. In this case, a one-of-a-kind bird bath was taken from the front garden. Although it isn’t heavy, it would have been a challenge to remove since it had long forks holding it in the ground and had been there for some time. These crimes have been reported to the Police. If you have any information on these crimes, or any other – call Toronto Police. Also, be sure to report crimes of any severity or value to the police as they monitor these reports and assign resources accordingly.
