Best place for a bite to eat…House on Parliament. The daily specials are always interesting and flavourful, and they always serve great pub fare favourites.
Cabbagetown needs…a nice shoe store.
Best public space…Riverdale Farm
Favourite block…streets east of Sackville St, south of Carlton St and west of River St. The homes and streets in this block are bit different than other areas within cabbagetown. The ambiance and sense of community are simply the best. Sword St is my favourite street.
Favourite store…Home Hardware on Parliament St
Pet peeve…home owners/ occupants who do not prune or remove weeds and trees along the sidewalks or pick up garbage that accumulates along their property lines. The overgrown weeds and litter tarnish the look and feel of this wonderful neighbourhood.
Cabbagetown’s best kept secret…the owls in Riverdale Park West
